Bochord Logo Design

Logo design for Bochord, a publishing company and bookstore. Owners wanted a dragon motif with a hoard of books integrated. Chosing from several sketches, this one was favoured for the symmetry and snow globe aspects to the shaping. Experimentation with grayscale and colour gradients were done until it was settled on solid colours for a bold colour scheme. Complementary oranges and blues provided a pleasant balance. Several dozen serif fonts were looked at until the final one was chosen. This was also my first piece made while toying around with Krita. Overall I'm pretty happy with the work and the client was satisfied with the end result.
